Hello
My name is Ryan Passage. I have over 20 years of experience in managing, building, and securing IT systems across various industries, including print and imaging, automotive manufacturing, and finance. Professionally, my focus is on closely following emerging technology trends and discovering innovative ways to apply them to secure critical enterprise environments.
In addition to my extensive practical experience, I hold a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Georgia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Ferris State University. I also hold a couple security certifications (CISM & CISSP).
Recently
I currently serve as a Cybersecurity Architect for a leading manufacturer of printers, multi-function devices, and IoT solutions.
In my previous role as a Principal Security Consultant, my team and I worked closely with customers to help them identify, understand, and mitigate potential security risks within their enterprise print environments. My primary contributions to the security consulting practice were to develop custom software and tools, including creating new cloud apps and services for Microsoft Azure, as well as a local client app for print device data collection using Python and Go.
I have also regularly presented on security topics to customers, both in-person and remotely, and continue to participate in several internal teams focused on vulnerability response, future security planning, and documentation review.
Previously
Past work includes managing an IT department in automotive manufacturing, various server-side web development roles, and systems administration. You can view my resume for the full history.

I am not a prolific poster to social media, but you can find me at the following sites anyway:
I also have a GitHub repository of ancient projects that probably don’t compile/work anymore.
